    DIRECTOR - LEGAL AND CONTRACTS

    Tara is a highly skilled lawyer with a practicing certificate in New South Wales and is the Director of Waltrix Legal. She brings a wealth of experience, having played pivotal roles at leading organizations such as Port of Newcastle, Downer, and Linx Cargo. As the Director of Waltrix Legal, Tara leverages her legal and commercial expertise to offer clients tailored solutions, combining a deep understanding of contract law with a strategic, business oriented approach.

    With her background in client and contract-side legal services, Tara enhances our front-end commercial and contractual offerings. Her skills in risk identification, contract reviews, negotiations, and drafting ensure we deliver superior solutions, consistently meeting clients' needs. Tara has built a well-established reputation across the construction, mining, transport, energy, and infrastructure sectors, providing informed and innovative solutions throughout the commercial lifecycle of projects.

  • Michael Demasi

    COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR

    Michael is a highly skilled commercial management executive providing industry leadership and governance with exceptional commercial acumen.

    With over 18 years experience across rail and road transportation, tunnelling, waste, water and mining sectors, Michael’s specialised skill set is based on an ethos of securing best-for-project outcomes through pragmatic, collaborative frameworks, and an affinity to drive results swiftly.

    Michael has significant experience in public and private sector commercial systems and processes, dispute avoidance and resolution, negotiating contract awards, operational & business unit management, and most recently has just finished a Key Personnel commercial role secondment on the Melbourne to Brisbane Inland Rail Project – Northern Program($5B).

    Michael’s passion is revenue generation for his clients and is known in the industry as a person who takes a pragmatic and common sense approach that balances the need to maintain profitability and to resolve issues quickly and in the best interests of his Client without damaging stakeholder relationships and its broader supply chain network.

    Michael’s career encompasses senior commercial management positions in both Tier 1 contractors and smaller organisations. Michael’s experience means he can tailor and deliver bespoke commercial solutions for a variety of organisations to maximise return, no matter the size of the business or scale of the operation.

  • Catherine Walton

    PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT - WORK HEALTH AND SAFETY

    Catherine is an experienced WHS Manager and High Risk Specialist with over 15 years of experience in the Mining and Construction industries.

    Throughout her career, she has worked with leading companies such as Glencore, WSP, Seymour Whyte, and Lend Lease, where she has gained invaluable experience in Principal Contractor works and Project Delivery. Her extensive background in these sectors has allowed her to develop a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges involved in managing health and safety risks across high-risk industries.

    Having worked on both the client and contractor sides of the construction chain, Cath posesses a unique, well-rounded perspective on project management and risk mitigation. This dual experience gives her the ability to effectively navigate the challenges of large-scale projects, ensuring that safety remains a priority from all angles. Her approach combines technical expertise with practical, straightforward solutions, allowing her to simplify complex safety challenges and create meaningful impact for her clients.
